Each of these proposals can be found in the form of a downloadable PDF document in the Member's Area of the NEXPRESSO website www.nexpresso.eu To view please register and then log into the Member's Area, and click on the "Proposals And Projects" link then "Call 1 Component Proposals".
University Researchers may wish to propose to carry out an R&D project using one of the proposed components. Therefore please note that the first Call for R&D Projects is now OPEN and will CLOSE on 30 November 2010. Details of how to create and submit a proposal can be found by downloading the "Call for Participation" document (click on the big blue graphic on the HOME page).
NOTE:
NEXPRESSO, the "Network for EXchange and PRototype Evaluation of photonicS componentS and Optical systems". Beginning in July 2010, NEXPRESSO is a 3 year programme funded under the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union (FP7-ICT-2009.3.7: Photonics). NEXPRESSO is a continuation of ACCORD the Advanced Components Cooperation for Optoelectronics Research and Development.
NEXPRESSO’s objectives are to:
Purchase at marginal cost pre-competitive photonic devices from innovative European companies and put them in the hands of European researchers and students, at no net cost to the university or to the company that furnished the devices and
Facilitate transfer of device evaluation results to potential end-users, assisting companies to access new markets
