A simple optomap scan is an important tool for the screening, early detection and diagnosis of eye problems such as retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts, retinal holes/retinal tears and age-related macular degeneration. It can also indicate evidence of non-eye diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and certain cancers.

Product/Research Description
Optos’ platform technology is the P200 series of Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope devices – the P200, P200C and P200MA. Each device produces high resolution images (optomaps) of up to 200 degrees or approximately 82% of the retina in a single capture which takes a quarter of a second. The Optos devices are used by clinical optometrists as part of their comprehensive eye examinations and by ophthalmologists in the treatment and management of eye-related conditions.
