Thin Film Solutions Ltd provides a range of services to the thin film industry. Primary application is optical coatings. Services include training, consultancy, sourcing of optical coatings, technology upgrades of vacuum deposition equipment and provision of new deposition equipment.

TFSL also provides business and marketing consultancy for companies providing ancilliary equipment to the thin film industry.

Product/Research Description

Thin Film Solutions Ltd (TFSL)offers a plasma source upgrade to vacuum deposition systems. The source provides high uniformity ion current density over extended areas. We have a source installed in a coater at the Thin Film Centre, University of the West of Scotland which is available for demostration purposes.

Other products include control system upgrade and process upgrade and installation for full range of visible, near infared, thermal band optical coatings.

Thin Film Solutions Ltd has four strategic Chinese manufacturing partners for provision of low cost coated optics. TFSL works closely with the Chinese manufacturing partners to install necessary processes and ensure required quality is achieved.

New Products

Recent products include the plasma source hardware and upgrade, night vision compatible coatings, narrowband filters for use in trimming high brightness LED colour and brightness.

Precision optical coating applications (opthalmics, telecom, lighting, photovoltaics, sensors). Global markets – Europe, far east (China, Japan, Korea), North America.
