Meet the Germans!

The Scottish Optoelectronics Association and Scottish Development International invite you to a networking event where Scottish and German companies can spend an afternoon networking in pre-arranged one to one sessions alongside spontaneous discussions that will arise from earlier presentations.

SOA AGM & Dinner
Venue: Royal Scots Club

The successful format for the SOA AGM will be reproduced again this year.
There will be a member meeting with speakers addessing new developments and markets in Photonics followed by the AGM during which non-members may network or remain to hear about SOA’s past year and finally there will be a dinner during which members may continue to network or engage with the speakers in more detail.
Optical Design Seminar
Venue: SUPA Grid Room, John Anderson Building (JA8.13), Physics Department, Strathclyde University

Iain Neil, who is an excellent presenter with significant expertise in optical design is giving a seminar on Optical Design for SUPA. Rob Martin of Strathclyde University has issued an invitation welcoming all SOA members to attend.
Specific developments in optical technologies over the last forty years including, refractive materials, thin film coatings, surface profiles and sensor architecture will be discussed. A compendium of optical designs employing some of these developments will be described. A novel optical system that utilizes many of these developments will be illustrated and explained with reference to possible applications.
