SOA AGM & Dinner
Venue:Royal Scots Club
Date: Mon 08 Sep 2008
Time: 1800 - 2230
Cost:£45
The successful format for the SOA AGM will be reproduced again this year.
There will be a member meeting with speakers addessing new developments and markets in Photonics followed by the AGM during which non-members may network or remain to hear about SOA’s past year and finally there will be a dinner during which members may continue to network or engage with the speakers in more detail.
This year our main speakers will be:
Dr Rolf Wartmann of Carl Zeiss MicroImaging who will give an overview of the products and business fields of Carl Zeiss MicroImaging, which in the main part are related to light microscopy.
Chris Gracie of the SOA who will give a summary of the Roadmaps which were presented at the PHOTON 08 conference last week. These covered PhotoVoltaics, Next Generation Access, Displays & Lighting, European NanoPhotonics and a general overview of available roadmaps.
The dress code is smart but not black-tie.

An important part of this evening is saying goodbye to two of our council members and welcoming two new members. We therefore ask our members to consider who they would like to represent them on the council and nominate them by returning the form e-mailed earlier this month to soa@optoelectronics.org.uk by the 29th August 2008.
