The Industrial Doctorate Centre supports innovative research between academia and industry with students conducting doctoral research on industrially-relevant projects, normally whilst being located within the company. The conference will include keynote presentations by industrialists engaged in translational research as well as presentations by our current students on progress of their research and will be opened by the Principal of Heriot-Watt University, Professor Steve Chapman.
The conference is free to attend, but could you please register at engd.eventbrite.com. Further details on the conference and how the Centre operates can also be found at www.engd.hw.ac.uk.
The Industrial Doctorate Centre in Optics and Photonics Technologies is an EPSRC-funded collaboration between Heriot-Watt, Glasgow, St Andrews and Strathclyde Universities. This conference marks the first year of operation following the award of £5M from EPSRC to fund the next five years of operation.
